Hand-Painted Zebra Rainboots
My 15-year-old daughter, Natalia, is quite a creative force. The way she produces lovely
pieces of art one after the other is awe-inspiring.
Her last inspiration was to transform an ordinary pair of black rain boots purchased at
Walmart’s into art in motion! She painted the inside of one boot the same as the outside
of the other. That way when someone is viewing them from one side they will see the
same matching pattern—vivid Zebra stripe prints—striding along the pavement.
From the opposite side the boots come off as a wildly colorful smorgasbord of peace,
love, and swirls. Definite hippie-era cool.
Quite ingenious don’t you think?

I am curious to know which paint is ok to use on rubber boots? I am looking to do a solid color. (I need yellow rain boots to complete my Coraline costume)
Actually there is none that I have found that is totally safe.
The boots that my daughter made, started to fade and the paint looked crackled.
