Zebra Marquetry Table
I recently stumbled upon this unusual Zebra marquetry table by Maitland-Smith, that is without a doubt a contemporary classic piece of art.
Marquetry is the art of painting with wood and it is often called intarsia or inlay. It usually encompasses creating pictures and geometric designs with thin slices of colored wood, shell, bark, stone, ivory, metal and other precious materials. It is a popular technique for decorating the smooth surfaces of objects, as well as a versatile creative art in itself. Marquetry is often found on the finest furniture and it has been around for thousands of years.
This particular Zebra table is 26″ wide and 27″ high and features a tripod base in antiqued finished aluminum with textured rosettes. For more information or to purchase, please contact us.
